Peggy O’Connor is a daughter, a mother, a sister, an aunt, a great-aunt (no bragging, just the facts), an ex-wife, a friend, a lover, a comedian, a sports fan, a Detroiter, a communications consultant, a best friend, a complainer, an Irish-Catholic, a liberal, a world-class martyr and an Olympic medalist in grudge-holding. She is also smart, funny, sassy, bitchy, strong, loyal, a great friend and a worthy enemy. She is hard-working and long-suffering and wants everyone to know that. Not that it really matters in the long run. She loves to laugh almost as much as she enjoys a good cry. She once described herself as “formidable.” This is the first time she has ever referred to herself in the third person.
